Free Meal Plan Templates

Free meal plan template websites are plentiful, and they offer a wealth of information for those who are planning to lose weight. But what’s the catch? Do they really offer you everything you need to know in order to design a great meal plan and make losing weight easy?

Most of these sites offer the same basic information; the site visitor gets the ability to type in a few bits of information about the person they are seeking information on, enter their daily caloric intake needs, and search for a list of public pre-packaged meals. In addition, many of these sites allow the person looking through the list of meals to customize the food choices in various ways. A typical site will give the person looking through the list of meals the option to make some choices at the restaurant, order take-out, make their own food, or buy meals from the deli or other grocery store that offers healthy meals.

Most of us are familiar with the major calorie sources for foods like pizza, fried chicken, burgers, fries, and brownies. But did you know that there are dozens of other “fine dining” foods that are also good for you? By making a little effort to learn about the foods that contain the low calorie count and the meals that contain the recommended daily allowance of these foods, you can put yourself on the road to losing weight quickly. After all, there is nothing better than seeing a slimmer, more attractive version of yourself in the mirror!

Start by examining the list of foods that are provided. How many calories does each of these food group contain? Can you identify how many of these foods you typically eat on any given day? If you eat more than one of these foods on any given day, you should seriously consider reducing your intake of each of them until you are eating less of them overall. If you have any problems with identifying which of the meals contains too many calories, look up the nutrition facts for each food on the Internet or consult a nutritionist at your local health food store.

Once you have identified the most common foods from this menu that you eat on a regular basis, you can use these free meal plan templates as a guide for creating your own meal plan. Some restaurants actually offer prepackaged meal plans that they provide to their clients when they order take out. This is certainly the best way to get great results. However, if you have difficulty finding this type of meal plan, there are hundreds of Web sites that provide ready made meal plans for free.

In addition to using the meal plans that are provided by the restaurant, it is also helpful to examine the calorie labels on the side of the packaging. These labels will tell you what the serving size is for each food item. For example, the serving size for chicken is listed as a lean breast, and the serving size for shrimp is listed as a shrimp sandwich. If you eat a considerable amount of shrimp each week, you should count the calories of all of the items in the shrimp recipe that you cook. This will help you determine how many calories you are really consuming. Using the appropriate templates for your diet will help you customize your meals and stay within the acceptable daily caloric intake for your lifestyle.

If you cook a significant number of meals for your family, you probably know that portion control is an important part of a sound diet. You want to be sure that you are not consuming too many calories at one time. One of the best ways to achieve portion control is to use frozen and dry foods in many of your meals. You can eliminate or reduce the number of times that you serve a particular food. This means that you do not have to worry about losing count of the calories of many of the foods that you serve.

Once you have created your free meal plan using the templates that you have found online, you can print and distribute the meal plan to your family and friends. They will then be able to see how the foods that you have provided to them are going to affect their health and their weight. You may even find that they begin to incorporate more of the foods that you have prepared into their own daily meal routine. With this new-found commitment to eating healthier, you will find that the pounds will simply begin to drop off.
